Don’t Call It A Comeback

May 20, 2008 at 12:07 am

Oh the shame. Two blog entries in a years time. Come to think of it, it's about two months past the year anniversary of my Relaunch post, which detailed the (at the time) new redesign, my ideas and motivation for upcoming blog entries, etc. Great job, eh? I succeeded in posting fewer entries than I can count on one hand since then.

I think I've figured it out though. I put to much thought into every aspect of blogging which ends up suffocating myself. Being the wordy, meticulous, purposive individual I am, writing a blog entry takes me hours, sometimes days -- even if it isn't a very long or detailed post. I am overparticular in preparing verbiage, the formatting must be perfect, images all proportionate, and so on. By the time I'm ready to hit Publish, I've lost the majority of my enthusiasm for the entry or I've burnt myself out and feel it will be only too soon before I write another entry.

So, if this is to be a comeback of any sort, I'm going to start out with short excerpts. And for now, to make up for any "shortcomings" in my entries, keep checking the Noteworthy block on the main page for a pulse; I keep it pretty fresh since it's only a section for one liners. Also, I've been trying to keep up with Twitter tweets recently, and there's always a fresh feed of my del.icio.us links to peruse.

Cheers.
